Scene into song? Tick. Storytelling? Easy. Forms? In the bag. A full-blown narrative musical? No problem. So where do you go from here? How about all of it at the same time? A soup of musical styles, skills, and expectations, different show to show. Total freedom. Total freeform. 

In our brand new musical freeform course, you will combine all of the musical improv skills you have ever learned, plus any other skills you happen to have. With a glint in your eye and a sense of what makes this show special, you will create the form as you go. 

Over twelve weeks, we will ask what this show and your team needs and how we can give it. Or not give it to them. Group mind without groupthink. Belonging, not fitting in. 

This course includes:

• Variation and repetition: what makes this show different from others?
• Following the rules and breaking them: when to support and when to resist
• You and your team: embracing roles and breaking them
• You as an improviser: how to keep doing what you do while still embracing new skills

This course is aimed at musical improvisers with several years of experience. You will be expected to be familiar with improv forms and confident to experiment with and create a new one every week. Email us on hello@andalsoimprov.com to discuss if this is the right course for you. 

Level 6 runs for 12 weeks, with a 2-week break after the sixth week. The course starts from 18th September with your end-of-term showing in week 12 on Thursday 19th December at the Lantern Theatre.
