Opening in early 2025, the Ampersand is AndAlso’s new training centre and theatre on Church Street, right in the centre of Brighton. We look forward to welcoming students and performers old and new to to play, create and learn. The Ampersand will be a home for improv in Brighton, for professionals and amateurs alike.

In addition to offering improvisation classes, the Ampersand will offer rooms for hire for all occasions—from meetings to creative workshops and even small performances in our studio theatre.
Why Choose Us?
Finding room hire in Brighton can be tricky. The architecture, geography and history mean it lacks industrial and commercial spaces that can be converted into studios and training spaces. We are lucky to have found a place for ourselves. Located just a few minutes from Brighton’s seafront and less than ten minute’s walk from Brighton station, the Ampersand will be a mini-arts centre in the North Laine. With four rooms, a podcast studio and a performance space for hire, we will be able to host events of up to sixty people across two floors. The Ampersand will be a budget-friendly option for meeting hire, rehearsal hire, and classroom hire in central Brighton.
