There are lots of drama classes available for young people, especially in Brighton. We offer something different for teens who don’t fit the normal stage school mould and want to explore improv and comedy. Whether your child is outgoing or a bit shy, our youth improv classes provide a safe and supportive environment where they can explore their imagination, learn valuable life skills, and make new friends.

What Are Improv Classes for Children and Teens?

Children's Improvisation (Ages 8-12)

Our children's improvisation classes are designed to introduce the fundamentals of improv through games, exercises, and activities that encourage creative thinking and teamwork. These sessions are perfect for kids who love to play and perform, as well as those who could use a little extra confidence in social situations. Through storytelling, character creation, and spontaneous problem-solving, children learn to express themselves freely and confidently.

Teen Improv Workshops (Ages 13-18)

Teen improv workshops at And Also Improv go deeper into the world of improvisation, offering a more in depth look into the theory and practice of improv as a comedy and theatre performance form. Optional end of term showcases develop their performance skills while building a sense of community. These workshops are designed to be both challenging and supportive, providing a space where teens can experiment, take creative risks, and hone their comedy chops.
