The growing connections with the group are half of the experience… building friendship over time in a playful setting is really relaxing and enjoyable! I want to go all the way… to the end of all the levels and ‘complete’ comedy improv haha. Such a great journey to jump into :))

He calls bullshit when he sees it, and gives actually useful feedback. The only problem is that when I go back home, I'm can't play with people who have taken Jules' classes.

It pushed the limits of what I've seen in the genre of High school musicals, resulting in each session with an enriched toolkit to create compelling characters, compelling narrative structures and kickass improviséd musical numbers.

As a player, it re-established the personal connection to being a teenager and all the creative possibilities emanating from that.

As a regular at AndAlso, the classes and the community have contributed immensely to my improv practice and coaching. Can't recommend enough joining them. Your improv and life will be all the better for it!

It's masses of fun and all the tutors I've had are funny, proactive and... read more kind, and a lot of thought has gone into the structure of courses so that you build up skill and experience (and therefore confidence) over time. So much work must go into it! And it's amazing that there's an end of course showing in an actual venue at the end to share what you've learned with friends and family. Our classes have opened into proper friendships and a sense of community too, which is a wonderful bonus.
I've never had any issues or problems and I've felt able to ask questions and try stuff out and basically it's great. Come for a taster, stay for the course!

I... read more was not feeling super confident about meeting a whole new set of people beforehand but Jules set the tone so that everyone was gentle and supportive to each other and he also structured the class and provided side coaching so that everyone felt comfortable, inspired and came away being sad the week was over. The scenes had both profoundly emotional moments and very funny talking-about-nothing. I'd do it again in a second. It was also lovely to be able to get to know people from the US, Italy and UK and to hang out in the evenings.

					Improv is a great way to meet people, gain confidence and have fun. However, it can be intimidating to attend a class for the first time. Brighton-based AndAlso Improv is one of the best places to start your improv journey.... read more The teachers are friendly and supportive, making sure everyone feels welcome and included. They've got your back while you are finding your feet. They are also willing and they’ll gently push you when you are ready to grow. Improv has changed my life, I'd encourage you to let it change yours too.
