Ali is an improviser, facilitator, and Diversity & Inclusion consultant who brings humour, empathy, and sharp insight to the spaces they hold.
They first encountered improv at the University of Sussex with the UK’s longest-running all-female improv troupe, The Short & Girlies—and haven’t looked back since. Ali went on to perform at festivals across the UK, including Camden Fringe, Manchester Women in Comedy Festival, and multiple Pride celebrations in London, Brighton, and Bristol.
Ali is a founding member of More to Honk With, a queer improv collective celebrating Sussex’s finest LGBTQ+ talent, and performs regularly with LadyBird, an ensemble based at London’s Blanche. Their facilitation focuses on creating inclusive, neuroaffirmative spaces where people can show up fully and feel seen.
As a D&I consultant, Ali works with organisations to build cultures of belonging and psychological safety. Their improv background is central to this work—bringing playfulness and adaptability to even the most complex conversations.
Favourite improv moment: Watching an audience member cry with laughter at a More to Honk With show, then say it was the first time they’d felt “fully at home in a room of strangers.”
