Lauren is an improviser, director, and facilitator based in Southern California who brings a rich background in physical theatre and storytelling to her work.
She has trained extensively across LA, Orange County, and San Diego with leading companies and teachers, including Jo McGinley and Brian Lohmann at Impro Theatre, and was a participant in the Frantic Assembly Directors Scheme. Alongside her theatre work, Lauren is also a personal trainer and has trained in burlesque, American Kenpo karate, and Systema—a Russian martial art—which informs her dynamic and embodied approach to facilitation.
Lauren currently performs and directs with Modjeska Unscripted Theatre, specialising in genre-led improvised plays, and performs radio plays with Cue Footsteps. She teaches at Acting Out Studio in Orange County, focusing on physical storytelling, unstructured narratives, and ensemble work.
At AndAlso, Lauren helps individuals and teams find their voice through improvisation, using physicality and playful storytelling to foster creativity, adaptability, and confident communication in professional settings.
Favourite improv moment: Leading a scene where a spontaneous physical gesture shifted the entire narrative—and the audience’s energy—into an unexpected and thrilling new direction.
