Nathan studied acting at the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland and spent most of his twenties working in theatre before accidentally becoming a software developer.
In 2018, he rekindled his love of performing through improv, doing courses with The Maydays and later, AndAlso, discovering along the way that he preferred it to both acting and coding. This love was cemented during lockdown, when he realised that making stuff up in a room with lovely people was something he missed most of all.
Nathan is now involved in various performance projects, including Arcadia. He is excited by the new challenge of teaching and delighted to be on this journey with AndAlso.
Favourite improv moment: Watching Showstopper: The Improvised Musical in Edinburgh with his teenage daughter, and realising that she was loving it as much as he was. There was a fire alarm, so the show ended early. They talked about how no one would ever know how that story ended, neither the audience nor the performers. They went again the following night and watched a completely different show.
