Roneesh has been improvising since 2012, when he discovered improv in his hometown of Dallas, Texas, shortly after a breakup. What started as a distraction quickly became a passion, and before long he moved to Chicago to train in the birthplace of modern improv.

Since then, he’s performed with some of Chicago’s leading improv institutions, including iO, CIC, Laugh Out Loud, The Playground, ComedySportz, The Annoyance, and Second City’s smaller stages. He’s a graduate of The Second City’s Conservatory programme and has also coached performers and written extensively about improvisation.

Now based in Brighton, Roneesh is delighted to be teaching with AndAlso. He performs with his own troupe, ShortForMania, bringing his love of fast-paced, character-driven improv to audiences across the city.

Whether performing or teaching, Roneesh is passionate about helping improvisers embrace spontaneity, trust their instincts, and discover just how much fun they can have when they stop trying to get it right.
