It pushed the limits of what I've seen in the genre of High school musicals, resulting in each session with an enriched toolkit to create compelling characters, compelling narrative structures and kickass improviséd musical numbers. As a player, it re-established the personal connection to being a teenager and all the creative possibilities emanating from that. As a regular at AndAlso, the classes and the community have contributed immensely to my improv practice and coaching. Can't recommend enough joining them. Heather and Joe are the best! I took an online class with them and it was awesome. They are both incredibly talented, adaptable, encouraging and kind. The class gave me lots of great tools to use in musical improv shows.

I just need to say that this is one of the best things I have done in my life. I was getting into an “I’m an introvert, I don’t do things like this” mindset. Applying the wrong idea of introversion (which... read more annoys me) to myself. After seeing my wife in her end of term show I thought what the heck, give it a go. It’s been enormous fun. It’s like permission for adults to play. Kids naturally improvise all the time don’t they? It has also I believe been quite healing. I have an arthritic condition that I simply forget about when involved in this. It’s helped me to recognise and believe in a part of myself that I didn’t know existed. A freer part. And I hope psychologically this will affect my condition in a positive way. I wonder if anyone else has had this experience? It’s also helped me be freer in my art. I love it.

Wonderful team and experience! I've made friends, built confidence and i'm simply much funnier than i used to be! Just completed my second term and am signing up for the next one. Highly recommended.

My confidence is much better, I think so much faster on the spot and it's helped me adapt to more stressful situations. The end of course performances have been some of the best nights I've ever had. The camaraderie, the comedy and feeling of having done a great show is a thrill that lasts for days after. The teachers are all brilliant, they're wonderfully friendly and funny people. Their passion for improv comedy comes across in every lesson and it's very endearing. Given that I'm in the fourth paragraph I think you'll believe me when I say I can't praise them enough. These guys are great, if you end up doing this then welcome to the Brighton improv scene. It's a great place to be.
