I travel every Summer from Belgium to take intensive improv classes with AndAlso. Jules Munns' teaching and coaching style brings out characters that are fun to play and watch, and that feel more real but are also more comedic and... read more dramatic. He calls bullshit when he sees it, and gives actually useful feedback. The only problem is that when I go back home, I'm can't play with people who have taken Jules' classes.

It pushed the limits of what I've seen in the genre of High school musicals, resulting in each session with an enriched toolkit to create compelling characters, compelling narrative structures and kickass improviséd musical numbers. As a player, it re-established the personal connection to being a teenager and all the creative possibilities emanating from that. So much work must go into it! And it's amazing that there's an end of course showing in an actual venue at the end to share what you've learned with friends and family. Our classes have opened into proper friendships and a sense of community too, which is a wonderful bonus. The deeper you go in, the more you learn! Yes it's fun and that's magnificent, but it's also soul and mind-expanding, which can't be bad.
