I travel every Summer from Belgium to take intensive improv classes with AndAlso. Jules Munns' teaching and coaching style brings out characters that are fun to play and watch, and that feel more real but are also more comedic and... read more dramatic. My confidence is much better, I think so much faster on the spot and it's helped me adapt to more stressful situations. The end of course performances have been some of the best nights I've ever had. The camaraderie, the comedy and feeling of having done a great show is a thrill that lasts for days after. The teachers are all brilliant, they're wonderfully friendly and funny people. Their passion for improv comedy comes across in every lesson and it's very endearing. Given that I'm in the fourth paragraph I think you'll believe me when I say I can't praise them enough. These guys are great, if you end up doing this then welcome to the Brighton improv scene. It's a great place to be.

The deeper you go in, the more you learn! Yes it's fun and that's magnificent, but it's also soul and mind-expanding, which can't be bad.

I've now completed four improv courses with AndAlso over the last year or so, starting from a base of zero improv knowledge or experience. No regrets! It's masses of fun and all the tutors I've had are funny, proactive and... read more kind, and a lot of thought has gone into the structure of courses so that you build up skill and experience (and therefore confidence) over time. So much work must go into it! And it's amazing that there's an end of course showing in an actual venue at the end to share what you've learned with friends and family. Our classes have opened into proper friendships and a sense of community too, which is a wonderful bonus. I've never had any issues or problems and I've felt able to ask questions and try stuff out and basically it's great. Come for a taster, stay for the course!
