Ali is a performer, movement director and creative facilitator who brings 17 years of musical theatre experience to her dynamic work in improvisation.

Originally from Southend-on-Sea, Ali toured the UK, cruise ships and the West End before falling in love with improv. She began her improv journey with The Laughter Academy, and now performs regularly with Scared Scriptless, the home team in Essex. She is a core cast member of the Olivier Award-winning Showstopper! The Improvised Musical, where she also serves as the company’s movement director.

Ali co-directs London’s 50-Hour Improvathon and produces/directs the Southend 48-Hour Improvathon, and is also a member of the legendary Comedy Store Players. With a flair for visual storytelling and a deep understanding of physicality on stage, she brings a strong aesthetic awareness to every performance and workshop.

As a teacher, Ali is passionate about differentiated learning—meeting people where they are and helping them stretch beyond it. Her sessions are high-energy, physically engaging, and designed to empower participants to reach their own personal goals, however big or small.

Favourite improv moment: Watching a 3am scene in the middle of a 50-hour improvathon go from utter chaos to absolute magic—thanks to one tiny, perfect piece of physical storytelling.
