Chris is an improviser, director, and facilitator who combines a deep passion for performance with a commitment to wellbeing and professional development.
He trained with The Maydays in Brighton before founding Dogface Improv in Norwich, where he built a vibrant local community through spontaneous performance. Chris has furthered his skills with top improv schools including iO Chicago, Second City, and UCB, bringing a wide-ranging knowledge of improv styles and techniques to his work.
At AndAlso, Chris specialises in designing and delivering workshops that harness the power of improvisation to boost communication, creativity, and mental wellbeing in professional settings. He combines technical insight with warmth and humour to create safe, inspiring spaces where teams can experiment, connect, and grow.
Chris is especially passionate about forms like the Harold and Deconstruction, but embraces flexible, organic approaches that meet the needs of each group. Whether coaching leaders or facilitating beginners, he believes improv offers practical tools for connection and resilience.
Favourite improv moment: Seeing an audience erupt when a glitchy voice modulator accidentally made a robot character cry—completely unplanned, completely perfect.
