September 10th 2023 @ 15:00 - 17:00

Free – £100.00

A short, sharp sugar rush of improv joy run by Heather and Jules. This workshop is open to all experience levels and will be based on finding connection while staying light and playful. A great introduction to the AndAlso style, this will be capped at 20.

Improv Playtime is part of our larger AndAlso Brighton launch party and jam event, so if you’d like to stick around to celebrate with us, then check out the details below and book yourself a free ticket for the rest of the afternoon via the link below 🙂

Come celebrate the future of Brighton improvisation with AndAlso and some of our friends from the Maydays. Over the course of a (hopefully) balmy September afternoon and evening, we will share some of our favourite improv games, tell you all about our plans, then make some stuff up and have a glass of fizzy wine (or a soft drink). Come for as much or as little as you like. It’s up to you. Seasoned improviser, or just curious, we’d love to meet you/see you again/celebrate the end of the summer.

Here’s what’s happening:

3.00-5.00pm – Improv Playtime

A short, sharp sugar rush of improv joy run by Heather and Jules. This workshop is open to all experience levels and will be based on finding connection while staying light and playful. A great introduction to the AndAlso style, this will be capped at 20.

5.30 – 6.30pm – Town Hall

We tell you a little bit about who and what AndAlso is, and what we plan to build in the next few years. There will also be free fizzy wine.

7 – 8.00pm – Improv Jam

Scenes, games and maybe even a song or two. Open to players of all experience levels, this will be a celebration of improv and opportunity to improvise with people you don’t normally play with. Or just watch!

8.00pm – Beer and hang out

It’s a school night and we have small children, but let’s raise a glass to the future and each other.

You can book tickets for the Improv Playtime workshop on this page and here for the evening jam and hang times. Tickets for the evening jam include a glass of fizzy wine or a soft drink. Tickets are free as standard, but there are £5, £25 and £100 tickets available if you feel able to make a donation.
