I... read more was not feeling super confident about meeting a whole new set of people beforehand but Jules set the tone so that everyone was gentle and supportive to each other and he also structured the class and provided side coaching so that everyone felt comfortable, inspired and came away being sad the week was over. The scenes had both profoundly emotional moments and very funny talking-about-nothing. I'd do it again in a second. It was also lovely to be able to get to know people from the US, Italy and UK and to hang out in the evenings.

I travel every Summer from Belgium to take intensive improv classes with AndAlso. Jules Munns' teaching and coaching style brings out characters that are fun to play and watch, and that feel more real but are also more comedic and... read more dramatic. I just need to say that this is one of the best things I have done in my life. I was getting into an “I’m an introvert, I don’t do things like this” mindset. Applying the wrong idea of introversion (which... read more annoys me) to myself. After seeing my wife in her end of term show I thought what the heck, give it a go. It’s been enormous fun. It’s like permission for adults to play. Kids naturally improvise all the time don’t they? It has also I believe been quite healing. I have an arthritic condition that I simply forget about when involved in this. It’s helped me to recognise and believe in a part of myself that I didn’t know existed. A freer part. And I hope psychologically this will affect my condition in a positive way. I wonder if anyone else has had this experience? It’s also helped me be freer in my art. I love it.
